2026 FIELD GUIDE · Measurements, court notes and the paddles I would put side by side
THE 2026 FOAM PADDLE FIELD GUIDE

Okay, but how will it play?

Power, pop and swingweight only get interesting when they help you choose. Here is how I read the tradeoffs, what my court notes add, and which other paddles I would put beside each one.

86 foam-core profiles · 34 with my court notes · 62 with review or reply context · 2026 releases from my datasheet and latest measurement update

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Three things I would check before spending more.

01

What is the premium actually buying?

Within the 2026 foam-core selection, the median serve pace is 59.2 mph for paddles at $130 or less (20 readings) and 59.3 mph at $200 or more (28 readings). That makes feel, setup, construction and surface life worth asking about before paying more just for pace.

Different paddles and shapes, not a controlled price experiment. Prices before codes.

02

A shape changes the starting point.

Hybrid110.8 SW / 6.61 TW32 paired readings
Elongated114.5 SW / 6.29 TW35 paired readings
Widebody107.8 SW / 7.08 TW18 paired readings

Those are the stock foam-core medians. Pick the footprint, then compare how much swing effort and lateral stability you are actually getting.

03

Day-one spin needs a second chapter.

I care about the bite that is left after real sessions. Fresh RPM is shown on every page. A retention result gets its own evidence label, and my break-in notes stay tied to the sample I played.

Read the surface evidence rules ↗

Foam around a honeycomb perimeter is not the same thing as a foam core. If the description does not establish the core construction, it stays unconfirmed here; a generation number alone is not enough.
