There is nothing wrong with a $230 paddle being good. The question I care about is what it does that the increasingly good $100–$150 paddles do not. The C45 has a sensible 116 SW, a usable 5.6-inch handle and a known thermoformed platform, but I would want a pretty clear on-court advantage before calling the price justified.
