The V-SOL Tour Series officially launches September 1 at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern, and officially becomes the first tested Tier 1 grit paddle available for $99.99 with code SLICE10. If you already have your eye on one, there is a pretty good reason to show up right when it goes live.

The first 500 orders will get either a free Vatic Pro hat (V-Sol Tour would be on the strap) or Vatic Pro Fox plushie.

Both the Orange Edition and Black Edition will be available at launch, and personally, I think the Orange Edition really stands out on courts. That is the same color I received as the ambassador drop. I would not be surprised if the Orange Edition sells out before the Black Edition.

The entire Tour series, including all four shapes, is $109.99, and code SLICE10 takes $10 off, bringing any of them down to $99.99.

That means you are basically getting the first $99 paddle with legitimate Tier 1 durable grit, a full EPP foam build, good stock balance, and four genuinely useful shapes.

I have spent quite a bit of time with the Tour series, so this is not based on one or two sessions. My full review covers the break-in, feel, power, pop, handles, balance, how different shapes play, and EverGrit:

For me, the Flash SH is still the easiest recommendation for the largest group of players. My 7.95 oz sample is basically neutral balanced, and the 16.3 × 7.7 shape with generous handle taper also makes about 5.6 inches of usable grip space rather than 5.3 inches listed on the website.

The Flash LH is there if you really want both hands completely on the handle. The new 16.5 × 7.5 Elongated gives you the most reach, leverage, and top-end power, while the 16 × 8 Bloom is the obvious forgiveness choice with the biggest face and easiest sweet spot.

One thing I would tell anyone buying one tomorrow: do not judge the Tour entirely from Session 1.

Mine started firmer, denser, and pretty poppy, and took closer to 5+ sessions to really open up. After break-in, the feel softened, the sweet spot got bigger, the pop calmed down, and I actually found more usable power on full swings.

Then there is EverGrit, with the prototype reportedly showing only 2.9% spin loss in John Kew's accelerated wear testing.

If you were already planning to grab one, I would probably be ready at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern, especially if you want the Orange Edition plus one of those first-500 freebies.
