Hey everyone! After I posted my Pakle Fuse Hybrid review, quite a few people messaged me about the small edge-weight clips I had on my paddle. I decided to print a batch, and I’m offering a few sets to anyone interested.

These 3-gram 3D-printed clips (actually around 3.2g) snap directly onto the paddle’s edge guard, allowing you to add weight and fine-tune the balance without dealing with strips of lead or tungsten tape.

Pricing:

2 pairs (4 clips) for $10, plus shipping; I can add an extra pair if you want.

You can also order more or fewer pairs depending on your needs. Store-bought pickle clips usually cost around $20 per set before shipping and tax, so these are a much more affordable alternative that serves essentially the same purpose.

I originally started by printing the clips in PLA, probably used by the other pickle clips on the market too. However, I found that PLA did not maintain the fit as consistently after repeated installation and removal. One time it could feel perfectly snug, and the next time it might feel loose.

That’s why I switched to PETG. It is sturdier, holds its shape better through repeated use, and makes the clips genuinely reusable. You can install them, remove them, and try different positions without the fit changing as easily.

The biggest difference is the fit.

Some retail clips can feel loose, slide around, or rattle during hard play. Mine are intentionally printed with a tight fit.

I’ll be honest: they can take a little effort to install and remove, but that is also why I like them. Once properly installed, they stay securely in place during play.

I currently make them for both 14 mm and 16 mm paddles, so please let me know your paddle thickness when ordering.

Colours currently available:

White, red, black, and clear.

Weights available: 3g, 4g, 5g, and 7.5g.

I may also be able to print other colours upon request. I can adjust the weight of the clips as well, depending on whether you want a smaller or larger increase.

Where should you place them?

Here is a basic guide:

10 and 2 o’clock: More power and the largest increase in swingweight.

3 and 9 o’clock: Greater stability, a larger sweet spot and a moderate increase in swingweight.

4 and 8 o’clock: More stability and control with very little change in swingweight.

Once you have tested different positions and found your preferred setup, I still recommend adding a small piece of 3M double-sided tape (Link) or a tiny amount of clear Gorilla Glue for extra security.

I can also engrave the clips with a name, logo, initials, or club name. Just message me with your idea, and I’ll help you figure out the design.

I’ll post a quick tutorial soon showing the easiest way to install and remove them without having to fight with the tight fit.
