Whether you’re rallying with friends on the weekend or battling it out in a tournament, Holbrook’s brand-new ARMA Series paddles are designed to take every shot to the next level. Supported by a one-year warranty, they combine eye-catching aesthetics and on-court performance you can trust. Here’s why the ARMA Series stands apart:

Dual-Density™ Core + FLX-Foam Perimeter

Dual-Density™ Honeycomb Core

  • Two distinct honeycomb densities are fused for the first time to enlarge the sweet spot and erase dead zones dramatically.
  • Delivers a consistent “pop” even when you miss dead center.
  • Rest easy: Holbrook will replace any paddle that experiences delamination or core crushing under the 1-year warranty.

Carbon-Wrapped FLX-Foam

  • Gen-3 foam-injected around the core and sheathed in carbon fiber for added stiffness and vibration reduction.
  • Offers both explosive power on your drives and a soft, controlled feel on touch shots.

Face Options: Raw Carbon vs. Metallic PET Weave

Face Type Characteristics Best For
Raw Carbon Fiber Very stiff surface, immediate “loud” pop, maximum power Players who crave crisp feedback on drives and volleys
Metallic Weave Textured Titanium PET layer for extra dwell, spin, and forgiveness Spin artists and those who value soft, precise dinks

ARMA T Carbon (14 mm): Instant, powerful rebound, deep baseline drives with minimal effort, yet still responsive enough for tight net play. The Raw Carbon Fiber version feels like a cannon, there’s an almost instantaneous “snap” the moment you connect, sending the ball rocketing off the face with minimal effort, yet it never feels harsh; it’s smooth, consistent, and gives you that unmistakable feedback that tells you exactly where you struck.

ARMA T Metallic (14 mm): Noticeably softer impact, excellent forgiveness on off-center hits, smooth transitions between aggressive swings and delicate volleys, plus wicked topspin that hugs the court lines. It grips just long enough for you to feel the spin build, then releases it with a silky yet potent pop. After a couple of errant shots, dialing in the Metallic was effortless; it forgives small mishits and makes those delicate dinks feel almost automatic, while still packing enough punch when you need it.

Quick Read:

  • T (Elongated): Reach and power: perfect for singles.
  • S (Standard): Maximum surface area and forgiveness: ideal for fast net play.
  • X (Hybrid): Elite reach but smaller handle than T, surface, and spin: great for all-court versatility.

Comparison with other similar paddles

Attribute ARMA Metallic ARMA Carbon JOOLA Pro IV 16 mm Franklin C45 Dynasty
Pocket/Dwell Medium dwell, easiest topspin & soft resets. Short dwell, crisp “snap.” Short/Med dwell depending on thickness, relies on technique for finesse. Same as Joola, the ball comes off the face quickly
Raw Power High, but slightly tamed vs. Carbon. Highest in this group, ball rockets off face. Nearly ties Carbon ARMA. Respectable but needs weight tape to rival others.
Sweet Spot Size Large (Dual-Density core + foam wrap). Large, though mishits feel firmer. Large, but drop-off at extreme edges. Medium-large; some dead-face complaints pre-break-in.
Hand Speed S Metallic ≈ fastest; X sits in the middle. T Carbon is slowest (big swing weight). Mid-pack; manageable for most 4.0+. Quickest of the four once you tape the rim for balance.
Durability Watch-outs Early reports of T-shape core crush, but Holbrook’s “We Will Replace It” policy is rock-solid. Same as Metallic There are reports of Core-crush/ delamination issues, but backed by Joola's warranty Surface gloss can dull quickly; less core-crush/ delamination issues.

After spending a couple of hours with the Holbrook ARMA series, it felt like I’d strapped a jet engine to my forehand, way poppier and noticeably stiffer than my trusty 11six24 Alpha Power and on the same level as the power-centric JOOLA Pro IV I’d been flirting with, but with the bigger sweet spot. The T-shape’s elongated reach let me crank serves and counters that sounded like rifle shots, but I had to breathe, soften my grip, and trust a short break-in before my resets stopped sailing. The S-shape, by contrast, swung lighter and instantly clicked at the kitchen, still plenty of punch, just without that runaway-freight-train vibe.

Compared to JOOLA’s stiffer feel, the ARMA’s oversized sweet spot gave me a bigger margin on mishits, even if I sacrificed a whisper of dwell time on finesse rolls. And while photos of crushed cores made me wince, Holbrook’s generous 1-year warranty lets me swing freely, knowing I’m covered if the paddle gives out before I do.

Bottom line: when I want maximum pop and a confidence-boosting sweet spot, the ARMA is my weapon; when I’m leaning into softer touch, I still keep the Alpha Power or Pro IV in the bag, but these days, the ARMA’s the first paddle I reach for.

Which Fits Your Game?

  • Need max reach & knockout drives? ARMA T Carbon or JOOLA Pro IV (Carbon feel, similar SW).
  • Want power with a safer touch? *ARMA T Metallic (*still bomb serves but grip drops).
  • Fast-hands doubles maestro? ARMA S Metallic (lowest SW + biggest sweet-spot).
  • All-court chameleon? ARMA X Metallic: balanced swing, elongated reach, big spin.
  • Budget-minded tinkerer? Franklin C45 Dynasty 14 mm: lighter, mod-friendly, needs lead tape to shine.
